New Launch Alert: Tata Nexon EV Max To Launch On May 9

The much-awaited all-new Tata Nexon EV Max will launch in the Nepalese market on May 9. The new long-range Nexon EV Max gets a bigger 40 kWh lithium-ion battery pack boasting an ARAI-certified range of 437 km, which is 125 km extra range than the regular Nexon EV.The Nexon EV Max will get the same motor as the standard Nexon EV Prime due to the taxation policy for EVs above 100 kW. In the Indian market, however, the Nexon EV is available with a 105 kW motor.The Nexon EV Max gets additional features over the standard Nexon EV. There are more than 30 features on offer. The variant-wise features include a wireless smartphone charger, air purifier, electric sunroof, front leatherette ventilated seats, illuminated drive mode selector knob, cruise control, Harman infotainment system, auto-dimming IRVM, tire pressure monitoring system, hill hold and hill descent control, disc brakes on all wheels, dual airbags, etc.When it comes to charging, the Nexon EV Max will take around 15-16 hours for a full charge on the 3.3 kWh unit, while the 7.2 kWh unit does the job in 6 and half hours. The car can top up from 0 to 80 percent in 56 minutes on any 50 kWh charger.The Nexon EV is the highest-selling electric SUV in Nepal with over 2000 units on the road. The Nexon EV Max will sit above the Nexon EV (Prime and Dark) in the Nepalese market. In the Indian market, the Nexon EV Max is available in XZ+ and XZ+ Lux variants. However, Tata Motors Nepal will likely introduce a single variant initially.The Nexon EV Max is expected to be priced between Rs 45 Lakh- Rs 50 Lakh in the Nepalese market.
